    hamed had the potential to go down as one of the all time greats, i really believe he was the best feather weight of all time and could have been the best lightweight but his self control destroyed him and his lack of discipline gave him no chance

    he had such pure talent, unreal talent but he wasted it by being an egotistical maniac

    Hamed was overrated..the 1st real fighter he fought he got the **** beat out of him....I admit the guy was entertaining but he gets blown way out of proportion on here... IMO

    Overated is a bit strong, he was WBO champ, won the WBC & IBF titles & beat the guy that owned, but had to relinquish the WBA belt in order to meet Naz.
    He was hard to like with his arrogance, but I think he could have been a great.
    He was starting to dip in form a while before the Barrera bout & more so without having his original trainer I think.
