I rank the Oscar fight for Manny.

Manny was moving up for the first time and Oscar was never a natural MM. He should never of fought there and realistically he never won a fight at the weight.

Manny made it look like Oscar was hit by a tornado. Nobody expected that.

Oscar in his primer years would of been a great fight but i'm not sure if the result would of been any different.

When that fight was made I thought it was joke. Even though Oscar was past his best I couldn't see him losing to the smaller man. On top of that I thought that if Manny did win where does he go, what chance would he have against the other welters Cotto, Margarito etc. He showed us!

Amen to that. Imagine Nonito Donaire as a lightweight or light welterweight  he would be massacred.

Good man! Have you watched it all?/What season are you on? RIP Andy Whitfield, very sad that he died of cancer, he was a truly great character who captured the person of Spartacus to perfection.

Haha great, it's been a while since I've seen Rose fight, although I do remember he was very strong for the division. The 60's Bantam era was truly gold. Of that era there's no fighter that confuses me more than Joe Medel.

I don't personally. Oscar came in on fight night weighing less than Manny and needed medical attention because of his dehydration. So the advantage that made him favourite to win the fight turned out to not be there. All we got was a shot, dehydrated corpse. A prime Oscar would have been able to stand up to his punches and impose his own strength, size.

I've seen the whole series, me and my oldest son. What a great show! Yes, RIP Andy Whitfield. I think the lad who took over did a great job. I didn't think at the time that that role could be filled.
I'm of the same opinion about Medel. What and up and downer! He was obviously a world class fighter but had some surprising losses. I can only put it down to maybe he had a bit of journeyman attitude. He fought on the road a lot. Have gloves will travel probably getting good paydays. I'd imagine there were a few controversial decisions that went against him. Fights he lost against other Mexicans just goes to show the quality of Mexican bantamweights at the time. Even though he lost a few he was the one who came to the top for a time.

Yeah certainly, he would have a losing streak but then you remember he's Joe Medel and he'll get a very good win another day haha. I would have thought it was all about a payday for him even if he wasn't going to win, he just wanted to turn up and get the money. Obviously big fights were a way for him to land more future big fights so he was clearly more motivated in them fights. Sure, the journeymen at the time were very solid, it makes you appreciate the guys at the very top that extra bit more. They really did have a steep uphill battle.

Liam Macintyre was his replacement, he did a very good job but I felt he lacked a range of expression. Nevertheless, still a great actor.

You're going to love a P4P list I did in that case for the Spartacus characters. As a boxing fan, I couldn't help but do this for the lols. Some funny comments and it was just a very funny (albeit very nerdy) concept to do (it's the most recent comment in the comments section)
