Pavlik's got to get the buzz back. Losing lopsided decisions has a way of knocking people off the bandwagon, but it's not the end of the road for Kelly. How he bounces back is completely up to him- he can learn from it like great fighters do, or he can let it ruin him if he doesn't have the will to recover. I hope it's the former, but until we see him in action again, it's impossible to know for sure.
the gatti fight was horrible! you ****ing brutal ******* lmao ... you prolly like watching nuns getting hung too??? .. lmao .. ass!
How many "A Level" fighters did JT face that weren't old(Hopkins & Wright, & Winky has never had KO power) besides Pavlik? Any dummy who wont even listen to his own corner deserves to get KO'd. And in fight 2, JT was so nervous I thought he was taking an SAT.
Hopkins old or not is still a handfull for anybody, he fights an ugly defensive fight and makes his opponents look bad and JT managed to beat him twice so you can't disregard that. Then pavlik dismantles JT, it's a viscious circle.
My point was JT never fought anyone with power like Pav. & both of JT'swins could've gone either way, but since HBO was all on his tip, they gave them to JT
it was kinda funny watching the big mouth get put in his place ..he shoulda kept his trapt shut and just fought half ass fighters he was being fed...dude fell in love with himself and prolly really thought he had this comeback power that'd lead him to victory over i dunno the best fighter in the world! at the time why don't he just get cocky and back hand a navy seal while he's at it?
Pavlik stocks went down bad because lets face it he got taken to school, got his lunch money taking away and books, head flush down he toilet, and picked on for 12 straight rounds. His promoter, bookies and people thought Pavlik was going to steam roll over B Hop but i guess B Hop didn't read the script clear. Pavlik needs to fight a notable fighter right now to get the buzz back because its more like a ghost town then anything on this site.
Supposd to win? I bet on that fight and won a good amount of money. Hopkins was underrated by Americans because Joe Calzaghe beat Hopkins. Some Americans still haven't understood how good Joe is. Therefore they thought - "if Hopkins loses to Joe, he must be slipping! - lets take him" To most non-Americans it was pretty obvious that Hopkins was far far from slipping and that Pavlik would have a very tough time given that the styles favored Hopkins, the fight weight favored Hopkins. Everything basically favored Hopkins except what Pavlik's people thought was that Bernard was slipping (based on the Calzaghe fight) BIG mistake. Joe is not slipping and anyone that doesn't get an abslute whipping by Joe (despite Hopkins losing clearly on points) is not slipping. As proven by Pavlik. Pavlik would never have agreed to give Hopkins all the advantages had he known that Hopkins was not slipping like he thought. Error of judgement.
