I really enjoyed Bobs input in Skys Boxing shows, he helped millions understand the rules of boxing, why is he no longer part of Sky's Boxing team?

Incidentally good performance by Watt tonight.

Here's still there, he still does the rules but Sky don't bother showing him or turning his mic on.

Poor Bob, that had to be the most pointless year of employment in the history of television.

theres no need for him. guys like bob mee are good for the hardcore but hes not going to attract new fans. if your working in boxing punditry you need to at least look like you can handle yourself. that means Mee and Smith should be canned.

You're missing the point, mate. Who do you think gives all the lads their info on fighters, etc? Think they all go on BoxRec and look it up themselves?

I'm not sure what you mean by Bob 'handling himself' but he's the best journalist in British boxing, IMO, and certainly one of the most knowledgeable.

He's forgotten more than I know and that's probably true, info wise, for almost anyone on Sky's team too.

If you don't think he's one for the camera, that's a different matter...but he'd be one of the last I got rid of...he was there on Saturday in Sheffield.

yeh my point is he and Smith are not ones to be infront of the camera. I think there is a real issue with boxing when you look at the production and broadcast. the age and look of all of the pundits is not a good thing.

Look at HBO. Merchant, Lampley and Steward have an average age of 78. I was hoping boxnation would do something different but they got Rosental on board.

Look at UFC. You got Rogan in a shirt looking like he could get in the ring himself.

Guys like Smith and Mee need to be behind the scenes.
