PPV!? that's insane. Who would pay to see that fight, no offense to either fighter but it's not like they're big draws or anything.
Well actually.... they are. (In Quebec anyway) Bute had over 1 millions viewers in Quebec for his last fight. That would be the equivalent of 42 million people watching the fight in the USA. Not to mention the 15 000 tickets sold which is more then Pavik-Hopkins could manage to do.
Ya I know he does well in Quebec I'm just a bit suprised because he's not matched up against another big named fighter. Usually when something is Pay Per View it's because both fighters are a draw, unless you're ODLH. Maybe if it were against Kessler.
They just think they can get more money out of a PPV then what the tv networks are willing to pay for the fight.
Damn, my dad lives in MTL. I would have just gotten tickets if I knew I was going to have to pay to see it on TV. But it's free on Showtime in the US right?
