Where would you rank Haye after last night in the all-time cruiserweight list ? Is there an arguement for him to be ranked 2nd behind Holyfield ?
2 or 3, but hes a 200lber they were 190lbs then, also thats a big advantage HAye has over Holyfield when jumping to Heavy. Less weight disparity
ATG? Hayes beaten 2 of the best contenders of his time neither of which are even elligible for HOF status. Good wins yes but not the type to propel him to anything close to an ATG at the weight. Bearing in mind cruiser is relatively new and has been a vertiable wasteland since Holyfield left i guess he has a small claim on the basis of lack of activity in that division or consistency. But Haye in reality is nothing close to an ATG. His just doing what fighters are supposed to do. And thats fight the best guys and knock them out.
Yeah its hard to say, he's only got two big wins at Cruiser which is Mormeck and Macca, so in terms of achievement he's not as good as Jirov, DeLeon, Gomez or Toney. But I'd pick David Haye to beat just about any cruiserweight bar Holyfield,
Cruiser used to be 190, so its not a division that can have ATG's other than Holyfield for at least the next 10 years. No doubt he is one of the most talented at the weight ever though.
