A bit too harsh on him I'd say. For someone who has probably never had any sort of physical advantage over his opponent and didn't have the power even at domestic level he's had a very good career.

One of the best defensive fighters in a British ring in recent times. He went as far as he could go also I thought he took the McDonell fight :D

The first two lines I agree with though not much he can do now. Hopefully he can keep himself into training.

For a bloke who was on Heroin for a few years in middle of career to come back and win titles was as remarkable as Jason Booth's Indian summer.

    He has officially retired

Shame he never really gave it a good go at flyweight because he had talent.

Hopefully he has retired. Good little fighter, one of my favourite domestic fighters along with Jason Booth over the last 10 or so years.

    Jason did heroin as well.

"I would do drugs. Drink led me to them. It made me do things I didn’t want. Uppers, downers, you name it I did it. I used to panic if I ran out of painkillers. Coke. Heroin, yeah, when I could get money, but I wasn’t a thief. It was me that got robbed."

    :good Didn't know that.

I'm sure Ian was on it he briefly went away and came back and i believe that was a reason why he was fighting far above his weight.

I'm sure Napa was, Promo bit before his first title win it was with him and family. Plus his absence out the ring makes sense for it to be serious. Trying to find a interview or quote but can't find anything as of yet.

I think when you move up in weight you either need to be tall enough to compete from range, as though not to have to adopt an aggressive style and make the bigger opponents extra size/power a significant factor in the fight, or you need power yourself, to keep the opponent honest so you can exist in a Boxing match and stop him from trying to walk you down.

A couple of times in fights I felt Napa, due to his lack of height, needed to abandon his counter punching and adopt a more aggressive approach, which he was capable of doing, but his mentality seemed to be try and counter punch, only against taller opponents who kept it long and didn't fall into mid range where you could counter them, it might of became a bit of an issue in certain fights. I felt he beat McDonnell, but I also felt the aforementioned was an issue early in the fight. Also, was it Maludrotta Napa struggled to close the range down and needed to fight a more aggressive fight?

I wish him the best. He's been good to watch.
