Does anyone truly know what is going on with James Kirkland and his boxing future? Is he awaiting trail or semi-retired? I'll love to see him vs Cotto, Angulo2, K9 or Canelo after Floyd beats him.

he was successful in getting out of his gbp contract when a judge recently voted that it was invalid.

my guess is that there was bad faith, fraud or some other incriminating factor as getting out of a contract is very difficult if not impossible.

I'm dying to see him and Canelo go to war . The fight would be an instant classic before the 1st bell even rings .

He was arrested couple of weeks ago? One of those guys who just can't stay out of trouble. And everyone knows what's the result. It ruins your career.

He's most likely going to prison again.

Not that he was any good anyways.

I think the problem he is going to face is getting some one to promote hiim.

-He was signed to GBP sued them, got out (Promoters don't like it when boxers do that)

-He is a head case and unstable, turning on his own trainer (that made him good) the one time went with some one else got laid out.

-Manages to always get himself in trouble with the law, in and out of jail.

That being said given all the factors about him why would any promoter want to invest a huge amount of money into promoting him? Golden Boy, wasn't doing a bad job.......Who is gonna sign him now? Top Rank? Main Events? Thompson? Goosen Tudor? DiBella? Shaw? He seems more trouble than he is worth in the long run. Is he gonna be a free agent? He does not seem smart enough for that, given his life choices up to this point.

    I think he is done.

I think he has managed to sabotage his own boxing career and future.

    hes apparently signing with 50cent.

a judge letting james out of his contract reeks of wrong-doing on gbp's part and not vice-versa(boxers don't like it when managers screw themover/hence the demise of don king).

when the general public says a guy is done(and not because of physical reasons) that's when a handicapper buys in.

james is going to be an underdog because of this logic and with a trainer like naz inn his corner I will be buying.

james still possesses one of the highest ko ratios in the sport today.
