Born there to Jamaican Parents and raised in Canada, even representing them in the Olympics twice. Decided it would be good for business if he moved back to England for a bit.

How many years in total did Lewis actually live in Britain??

Its the "if a dog was born in a stable, would that make it a horse?" argument.

Born here and spent 27 of his 38 years upto his retirement here.

    He's British.

Only relevant if you think Jamaicans are a different species to the English.

Come on boys you know the rules if he was successful (which he was) he is British, if he is shite like Gregg summit, the twat is Canadian. Them the rules and I'm sticking with them.

Stop being awkward. Most analogies do require just a little lateral thinking....I'll give you a clue, try substituting species for nationality and you'll be on the right track.

BTW I don't agree with the point, but the argument is still there to be made.

Well say he had british blood and had moved away to Canada then moved back I think you could make a better argument for him being British but the fact that he doesn't have a British bone in his body makes him just as much connected, if not more connected to Canada.

Sorry Gaz, I obviously don't have the mind necessary to apply lateral thinking to your brilliant analogy.

Well if you want to be really semantic about it, applying your logic, he is just as unconnected to Britain, if not more so, than he is to Canada.

Of course he deserves the Knighthood!!
