Khan-Maidana was disappointing as far as mainstream lead up as well.

Bradley-Alexander waited too long to make the fight. This is what happens when you have neverending tuneup fights. :-(

    The Ring February 2011

"CompuBox actually had Kotelnik landing more punches (225 to 202), but Alexander's harder, sharper blows proved the difference."

they wanted to fight other cats and let the fight between them build up.. but when you start getting narrow wins..and the public starts to lose faith and interest in the matter..
then you have to make the fight happen while it is still available , meaningful and talked about.

Shaw and King both suck at promoting, particularly Shaw. He moved this fight from St Louis where there would've been huge buzz, to Detroit area where there's none at all. Pontiac has to be one of the worst possible venues for this fight in the entire country, they'd have trouble selling out a high school gym in that area with this fight.

Any word if they'll get Ronald Hearns and Anthony Dirrell on the undercard?

Both are good fighters with solid boxing ability, but not a lot of uncertainty as to what the outcome will be here. Bradley by UD/SD.

Another reason this is not getting a lot of buzz is because it only unifies two championships, not the entire division.

Khan/Bradley will have LOTS more hype if only because of the uncertainty between the styles, the ability of Khan to fight against the odds, his chin which is still a little suspect and the fact that it will be a proper unification bout.

Also, Khan represents the UK while Bradley represents the US, which also brings higher ticket sales due to the rivalry between the two countries.

I'm buzzing, I spoke with a very good friend the other day and he seemed to agree that Bradley - Alexander is the only real fight on the horizone.

**** the media hyped clowns like Floyd and Pacquiao running different directions to cash in against old over the hill mother ****ers who can't even finish a sentence without stuttering.

Bradley - Alexander is what it is, it's a throwback fight, these are two big time talents going at it early in their careers, they dont make it like that these days unfortunately, this is a one off.. a treat to all us boxing fans.

After Alexander's **** poor performance against Koletnik (who Khan dominated), people are already writing him off.

    Big mistake in my opinion.

Two fighters, who in my opinion, are the best of the division - so I’m very much looking forward to this fight! It may not be an entertaining affair, but it’s one which has a lot of significance. I think Alexander performs better than he did against Kotelnik, and gives Bradley a lot of trouble.

Bradley is boring as hell. Who the hell has Bradley beat anyway. Alexander was hyped up for beating Urango while getting hit a lot by him, then getting schooled by Kotelnik.

And what basis do you have for making that assumption?

Alexander/Kotelnik wasn't a close fight, Kotelnik was robbed outright by the judges.

I never said Alexander-Kotelnik was a close fight. In fact, I thought Alexander was a very lucky boy that night. Kotelnik tamed him and got the better of him on many occasions.

But Bradley isn't Kotelnik. He doesn't have a tight defence. He doesn't have an iron chin. And his punches aren't as concise when opponents are coming in and out. That's where Alexander failed against Kotelnik, whose style - as simple as it looks - was difficult for Alexander to deal with.

Bradley, on the other hand, will engage with him a little more and he'll find more success in getting his shots off. I'm not saying he'll win. I'm just saying he'll look better.

After some bad rumors of Bradley-Alexander falling through Timbo made sure he'll make this match-up a real fight for the masses.

"It's gonna be probably fight of the year. Guarantee you - there's gonna be fireworks man. I'm letting everybody know I'm coming, so whatever Devon do - I'm coming. Just know that Tim Bradley said he's coming and just watch me do my thing. Please. They call Alexander, I guess, 'The Great.' But after I get done with him he ain't gonna be called 'great' no more, he's gonna be called average. So everybody stay tuned. Check me out and don't miss it man. Don't miss it."

He also called out Pacquiao's cherry pick and called Mosley shot

"I love Sugar Shane Mosley. He's one of the best fighters ever man to lace up a pair of gloves I think. But right now, at this point I think Pacman is just too much. Unless...he gotta prove me wrong. I watched Shane in his last fight and I was just like, 'What is going on? What happened to Shane Mosley man?' I don't know. He looked impressive against Margarito, then he fought against this tough kid and I was like, 'Man what happened?' And he just looked shot. Just shot,"

    War Alexander.

Anyway BigBrah the fight has 20+ days left. They definitely need to promote the everloving **** out of it on local TV/billboards, but it should be a great card and fight all the same. I'll be tuning in :good
