dude has accomplished more than chavez jr, yet doesn't even get an ouce of hate.....not only that, he represented the "boxers" side of boxing, while commentating and was the face of showtime for years......he was only fined 2,500 by the csac, and has been known to skip out on tests before..... makes you wonder doesn't it....
There is plenty of hate for Tarver. Him and the other drug cheats are cocksuckers, just like Chavez Jr. :yep:good
I hate any governing body that punish cheaters with a slap on the wrist. Like it's been said - you play other sports like baseball, basketball, etc. You don't play in boxing. Cheaters should be banned for years if not a lifetime. Tarver has a likable personality. I can see why people are lenient with him as opposed to Jr who is lazy, doesn't follow orders, picks on smaller fighters, fails drug tests, and is protected by Sulaiman.
Hard to hate him after what he did in the 2nd Jones fight and I couldn't stand him before ..Chavez Jr is a lazy spoiled brat who is allowed to disrespect the sport at every turn ..
Chavez Jr has been caught multiple times, Tarver has been caught once. Chavez Jr has had the silver spoon route in boxing all the way through his career, Tarver came up the hard way. However, the main reason is the high profile nature of Chavez Jr vs Martinez, Tarver isn't high profile stuff these days. And Tarver has gotten plenty of hate in the past for other reasons, particularly for his "I'm knocking out legends" comments prior to catching a beatdown from Bernard Hopkins.
He gets a pass on the 'high' level hatred. We can't be gettin too angry with our own, if you know what I mean. We can say a few quick comments showing how we're sort of disappointed and angry, but really...we don't give a ****. He's black. We're black. We have to stick together. Same thing goes for the Bradley/Pacquiao outcome. Gotta support the brotha, yo. Keepin it realz. Same goes for Berto and Peterson as well. Topics like this...gotta sweep that **** under the rug, fo sho. Only so much contempt to go around. Savin it fo Pacman and Chavez in boxing...and white folks in general.
I forgot to mention that the real 'hate' is reserved for guys that might be using, not for guys who have already been popped. Hypothetically, let's say my favorite fighter and his team accused some dude of using. Proof, no proof...doesn't matter. The dude in question automatically deserves hate thrown his way. Well, unless he's black of course.
