Where's the outrage of Ricky Burns getting a title shot?

    Ricky bum Burns gets a title fighting against a bum and there's no outrage? I guess it only outrage when American fighters fight bums from titles!

    Ricky Burns is a great fighter. This fight would normally be a final eliminator and the winner would face Broner. Broner failed weight and lost his belt so this eliminator converted into a world title fight.

    Promoters aren't in the business of leaving any meat on the bone- so long as these names have any value left (and they do), you'll never stop seeing them get chances.

    They way they feasted on old Roy was a prime example of it.

    Di Rocco was a solid opponent who was coming off of some decent Euro level wins, just because Burns made him look average when others haven't doesn't mean the guy was a total bum, Burns was very on point and boxed a very intelligent match the other day.

    Burns deserves some respect even though in the fight against Beltram when he got the win he did suffer a busted jaw early in that fight.
