No birth day on bio page is bothersome, "World WBC Fly" rather than Flyweight sounds weird but now I don't see who's WBA champ, interim, regular, super, local. What happened to that site and did WBA bang BoxRec's sister or something?
Kinda. Boxrec no longer recognizes the WBA or any champ in WBA history. So, according to Boxrec, Muhammad Ali never won the heavyweight title for the third time. John Tate, Mike Weaver, Michael Dokes, Gerrie Coetzee, Greg Page, Bonecrusher Smith, Tony Tubbs, John Ruiz, Roy Jones, Nikolai Valuev, Ruslan Chagaev, Alexander Povetkin, David Haye never won a heavyweight title. Victor Galindez was never a light heavyweight champion. Thomas Hearns never won a welterweight title. Roberto Duran only managed to win the lightweight title in his last fight at 135 and made no lightweight title defenses. Duran also never won the junior middleweight title. In fact, Robert Duran never successfully defended any title he ever won. No defenses at lightweight. No defenses at welter. No belt at all at junior middle. No defenses at middle. Duran has a 3-5 record in title fights, according to Boxrec. Too many examples to mention. In effect, Boxrec no longer is a reliable source for historical information.
I think there was another thread about this, but I think the WBA is making a website very similar to Boxrec, maybe even stealing their format idea. So in protest to this, boxrec refuses to acknowledge that the WBA ever existed, but in doing this they are creating fake news.

buddy you're late, we already discussed this a month+ ago But yeah basically Boxrec has completely thrown their already tenuous credibility into a trash compactor and hit the button to start the compacting cycle. They're supposed to be a neutral repository of knowledge, how are they ignoring knowledge..........
