Didn't realise there was anything to comment on.
He made another defence against a nobody which he came through.

Fingers crossed for a top 30 opponent or someone not coming off a loss for his next world championship defence eh?

Meh, he looked good when he let his hands go, worked the body well and ended up beating Hawk to a standstill. He got caught too often for my liking and against an opponent who was subpar. I don't mind Clev too much, so I hope for a big step up from the crap he's been fighting.

The phrase "getting caught too much" is like politicians power tool. If Floyd Mayweather can get caught and end up with a bloody nose then Clev getting caught doesnt mean too much . If you gonna get in the ring expect to get hit its boxing.

Granite chin , Great workrate and high stamina a very good combo, ive seen many a champ get by with less. Every time Clev did get caught he went straight back at hawk and gave more back, instead of backing off in the mindst of action.

You hit the nail firmly on the head. Cleverly can fight somebody half-decent before the fans give him any respect. Right now the opponents he's fighting are abysmal and the way FW and others are trying to portray him as a big name and top fighter is laughable.

But he did get caught too much and he has a tendency to do so. Against better competition he could come a cropper. His head movement was poor. It's a fair critisism of his performance. His chin seems solid no doubt, but I don't believe any fighter can just walk through punches time after time and expect to get away with it.

No defense, no power, limited boxing ability..

Saying that he has speed, solid chin and a good engine.

By the way, people who use the word 'hater' should be shot.

We can't say this until he gets in with somebody who has world class power and cracks him solidly on the chin. And if the likes of Hawk can catch him cleanly, then it's going to happen more often when he finally decides to make the move to fringe world class.

Bemoaning his weak opposition and paper title doesn't necessarily equate to being a 'hater'.

They chat so much ****, whether they like him or not, one day you will have to respect him, if he keeps it up, fights better opposition and remains undefeated, you will have to eat your words.

Nothing new, I've seen it and heard it all with Joe Calzaghe, I don't think Nathan is anywhere near that level of skill, but he can improve on his weaknesses, IF he picks the right trainer.

Pick Freddie Roach and you will make the £££, but you can kiss your 0 goodbye Mr. Cleverley, it will be Amir Khan all over again, because he likes to war to much, there is a time and a place, but Cleverley wants to do it all the time.

He needs a trainer that teaches him to fight with common sense and when to press and when not. He needs to be taught to make the most of his tools.

He needs to learn from other fighters failures under Roach's watch.

Freddie Roach is the last person he needs to be thinking of. :deal
