Whether or not it's close, does a Mayweather win on Saturday make him #1 P4P?

    Of course not.

Did Miguel Cotto become p4p#1 when he beat a younger version of Shane Mosley??? Nope.

To be the man, you got to beat the man in possession (if they are in the same weight class as you).

Pac is the man in possession. He is in the same weight class as Floyd. Unless Pac's performances start to spiral, he remains the man in possession, until Floyd grows the balls to challenge him in the ring.

And Pac's performances are spiralling upwards, not down. The guy lost one round or maybe two in two fights with Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey. Floyd lost more rounds to Zab Judah alone - a guy whipped by both Cotto and Clottey.

So the answer to this thread is, undoubtedly, no.

Be the best you have to beat the best.

Pacquiao is that person he has to beat.

Cotto was never in position to be ranked pfp the best, and has never been ranked pfp the best. This was a stupid ****en answer lol... Floyd never lost this decade while your hero has. Your hero has been knocked out twice, and you talk about rounds lost to Judah lol... You're a troll, you're bniased, phony, fat and, you don't know boxing!

P4P is a 'what have you done for me lately' title.

Pac has done so much more. Better competition faced and better record across more weight classes.

    It's a no-brainer.

Nope. Pac has convincing wins at a higher division than his natural division. If Floyd beats Sergio Martinez and Kermit Cintron then we can maybe consider him P4P #1. Add Paul Williams to that list then without a doubt Floyd would be my choice for P4P #1.
