You still got to give both these guy tremendous props and respect for keeping boxing on the big stage and having PPV's that **** on anything the UFC throws out. MMA fans seem to really be pushing the whole BOXING IS DEAD line left and right as of late. So many videos are on youtube now of these MMA fanboys claiming boxing is dead and done and how UFC is the future, and how there are no more stars in boxing......If you try to argue they will just say your a ****ing idioit and that you just need let boxing go. There are plenty of upcoming prospects and superstars who are gonna be great later on, but Pac and Mayweather at the moment are doing good for boxing, and hopefully a huge fight between these two can be made later this year. i know alot of people are pissed that the fight fell apart, however I think it was for the best. I would have wanted Pac to have a little more time to heal from the cotto fight and also he is getting a great tune up in a very tough and dangerous opponet in Clottey to really test him out and get him ready, also Mosley now can get a shot at Mayweather (Shane deserves this fight, and I wanted him to get his shot at it as soon as possible before he gets any older).
On the contrary, MMA appears to be losing a lot of steam. Nobody cares about these roided out, talentless meat-heads. Boxing is on it's way back, and the next 3 months will be great.
I have noticed the fad is dying off while boxing is being talked about quite alot. It seems like these fanboys are starting to notice that, so they are doing the best to convince people Boxing is unheard of now while UFC is the biggest sport you can find.
Never understood the attacking of either sport to be honest, childish imo. It's one level below 'my dad is harder than your dad'.
Pacquiao and Mayweather can pretty much dwarf any MMA PPV on their own. Fighting each other, even a Fedor/Lesnar fight couldn't match them, even with the boost from the natural fascination with heavyweights.
Yeah, MMA has completely lost interest with me. Boxing has only gotten more interesting now. Nobody talks about MMA in my school now, and quite a lot are talking about Mayweather.
