Which 1990s heavyweight would have struggled If he'd been dropped in to the 1970s?
Consider style's, opponents ,15 round fights and the strength of the era?

    Lennox Lewis excellent fit
    Evander Holyfield Brilliant fit
Mike Tyson. Nightmare for almost anyone
    Riddick Bowe. Extremely dangerous
Michael Moorer. Good but also vulnerable
    Tommy Morrison. Dangerous for some.
Tim Witherspoon. Ageing but still good
Ray Mercer. Tough as old boots
Frank Bruno. Physically superb but vulnerable
    Razor Ruddock. Another danger man

Wlad Klitschko - his first 32 fights were in the 90s, he'd never make it undefeated coming up in the 70s.
John Ruiz - would never be champion. He couldn't get past the 70s fighters in the first 39 fights of his career.

I think Wlad rules the 70s.

Old Foreman maybe. He was carefully managed in the 90's.

Yup. FOC Ali and Frazier best him I think, but after 71 he cleans house. Styles making fights maybe gives him a chance with the FOC iterations of both but I'd say he more of a chance of beating Ali that night than Joe. Joe was a force of nature that night and would not be denied. But yes. Wlad at his best likely cleans house in the 70s with that one caveat....

...an unpopular opinion I grant you, but somebody asked...and I'm all about cats and pigeons.

...but...Wlad was very big, very athletic, had two careers one when he was defensively prudent and one where he was less so. He had massive power and could box and negate in fighters. I think young George is made for him...

He beats them all rather easily.

I think young George knocks him almost unconscious.

No one beat Ali or George rather easily.
George did that to Frazier but Wlad hasn't the power of Foreman to do that to him.

Wlad hasn't the power? Really? Not according to Manny Steward who said he punched harder than any heavy he ever worked with. He bounced around midgets just fine, thank you.

Seamus, you say he beats all those guys in the 70 s easily?
    He's kicking Ali's ass?
    Smacking George around?

Ali kinda sucked in the 70's.

George was tiny compared to the monsters Wlad fought.
