Hopkins championship reign has to be considered. I'm with you though Toneys resume is far deeper

Was either of those 3 really a "90's star"?

I would have put Roy in there over Shane.

There have already been recent threads about Jones.

What about De LA Hoya? Even Holyfield is a good thought.

None of that matters though because he got fat.

Can't take what's already been done and most boxers get fat Toney was just an expert at it

Toney can't control his weight due to a brain injury he incurred in the ring that stops his body from producing testosterone.

These Hopkins voters don't care though. All they see is Hopkins staying in shape meanwhile Toney got fat due to a brain injury.

It's not because Hopkins has more skills because Toney's offense is clearly better. It's not because Hopkins has better wins and resume, because he doesn't. It's not because he moved up more weight classes, because he didn't.

Only possible thing you could point to for Hopkins is he didn't get fat.

And controlling your weight is basically impossible when you get fat or don't have enough testosterone in your body. It's a vicious cycle. You need testosterone to stay lean. Your testosterone levels plummet when you get fat. That's why guys who get fat basically stay fat.

Imagine what Toney could have done if he could have stayed at 160 for 20 years

He'd probably have 80+ wins with a 75% KO rate

If the Toney Nunn fight happened tomorrow this forum would absolutely detonate. You think the GGG threads are bad? It would get crazy up on here.
