No that's not true, I've clearly made reasonable arguments and haven't even mention Hopkins longevity as a reason for his superiority in either of my 2 posts. Toney actually had good longevity he was just horribly inconsistent for periods during his time, even during his prime years. Sure he looked great beating a McCallum, Barkley etc, but then you had Tiberi between those fights. When did you ever see Hopkins struggle against a Tiberi level fighter in his time as a champion? Hopkins was more dominant though against weaker opposition at middleweight and was undisputed at middleweight unlike Toney who never even unified. He may have done well at super middle but again failed to make an impact at light heavy like Hopkins did, losing to Griffin twice a fighter who has losses to 4 fighters Hopkins had beaten or would go onto beat. And as I've mentioned the drug use puts a question mark over his achievements. Maybe he just used them at heavy maybe not. He was soft looking at light heavy yet made cruiser and heavyweight looking far more muscular, how does a fighter look out of shape at 175lbs but then look huge at cruiser and heavyweight? Toney was great but for me Hopkins has a slight edge in legacy over Jones Jr and then Toney is trailing some distance behind. His wins over Nunn, who never reached the heights expected of him, a fading McCallum and a points win over Barkley who was stopped in 1 by Benn a few years before are not good enough, because the wins over Jirov and Holyfield have big question marks over them over their validity due to doping.
