Doesn't belong anywhere near "best jab in the sport" conversation. Nowhere near...

I'd like Brook to show it against more than Porter, Jones, and Jackieweiaizudkaj;w first before I put him on the level of the other guys who have beaten multiple superior contenders and titlists. But it does seem capable of being quite on point.

    Forgive me... And Lovemore Ndou.

No, in all seriousness though... Brook does have a solid foundation of name victories (Senchenko, Matt Hatton, L. Ndou, Carson Jones X2) and ones that would be notable for fringe contenders. But for how long he has been hyped since about 2009, he still has a ways to go yet and I can't help but be disappointed. I remember defending him back then in 2010 for not having really looked to test himself at the top at that point. I didn't know it would be another 3.5 years until he really did. Good victory over Porter indeed is a good start to justify much of the talk Brook has gotten for half a decade now.

    Good Shout!

I completely agree with you, he is a late bloomer. Can you blame that on him? Who knows. But you can say that he is now a world champion and he is now being recognized, so it took him a while...
It would be fair to point out that Canelo has more fights and is a lot younger than Brook. He has fought world class opposition so far and i hope he has a long career. He recently stated that fighting Golvokin is not a problem. Brook has a similar path in the respect that he called out Thurman. These guys aint shy.
They are looking for the best; its just that some get their chances early.

I agree with you, as long as you can recognize that Alvarez's competition is a full tier and then some ahead of Brooks' thus far.... sounded like you were equating their opposition and I don't think that is fair to Alvarez and the Lara, Trout, Floyd, Angulo's of the world.

Ha No. I am a fan but not blind. Canelo has far superior opposition on what seems to be a regular basis. Brook has tried but failed (until now). I hope Brook continues fighting top level competition calling out everyone. Canelo is fantastic right now. I dont know how anyone can hate on the kid. He's fighting fighters that his promoters and advisers are advising against. The likes of Trout and Lara; His promoters didnt want none of that yet he took them on. They said he was too green for Mayweather (which proved right) but fought him anyway. He takes on all comers and im hoping Brook could learn from this kid half his age with more experience.

Brook has been plagued by injuries (and now been stabbed twice) and in a division rule by Top Rank and Golden Boy, do you think either would let him near any of their hype jobs before they had too, thus why it's taken him so long to get to the top.

You say you're disappointed but you all but wrote him off against Porter ("he'd lose 10-11 rounds or be TKO'd" was I think what you said).
