it's Ghana. South Africa has had many good fighters but never a truly elite fighter. Brian Mitchell, Welcome Ncita, Bungu etc. all good fighters but never truly top class. even Uganda had Ayub Kalule, and Congo had Sumbu Kalambay.
Bungu was top class, reigned as world champion for 5 years defending it 13 times and beating the likes of Kennedy Mckinney in the process.
he was a tidy little technician but the likes of Nelson, Kalambay and Kalule were absolutely exemplary for their divisions.
The Seychelles should try and develope their amateur boxing programme. They have the highest PCI on the continent and it is a nice place to live and train.
boxing is only really open to certain tribes in Ghana. most of Ghana's best came from the Ga people which makes up a fraction of the population. they're the only clan with real access to boxing programs.
