They are unlikely to land a KO blow on an all-time great.
They might have the power to KO anyone with their absolute best punch, but ATGs don't get caught like that.

wlad springs to mind, seeing how weaklings who wouldn't be ranked can wreck him.

The point being you can tear holes in anyone's record.

Nice way to diss Lewis but making it seem slightly indirect.

Very few to none. I guess one if you are inclined to rate Lewis an ATG.

His fervent supporters do all they can to dismiss these two losses as aberrations but they are huge stains on his record. The guy just didn't have an ATG chin, or even an average one for that matter.

But some have more substance that others. Lewis fought just about the biggest collection of bangers out side Ali.

I think it is a legitimate criticism of Lewis.

His chin is better than some of his critics claim, but the other all time greats, only really got put away by sustained beat downs.

It's a weird thing with Lewis: he took punches from big hitters in some fights, sometimes better than others. But the two shots that stopped him weren't any bigger than the ones Holmes took against Shavers or Ali took from Frazier, in my opinion. They recovered; Lewis didn't.

Both punches could have turned the trick against lots of champs.

All of them, none of them (except Lewis), or maybe some of them... who knows? They could punch, couldn't always land though.

McCall looked good vs. Seldon (actually Seldon outboxed him for 8 rounds and then got stopped in the 9th), Lewis (KO2), Holmes, Bruno (but he gave away the early rounds and couldn't do enough to pull ahead in the late rounds), and some others. He was almost impossible to hurt.

Rahman had a good jab and good power but could not take a punch like McCall could.

not many guys went the distance with Marciano but there are always the Willie Meehan and Levi Billups type of guys, Wills Applegate was a pretty durable guy

Rahman was a low level hwt. No D whatsoever.

McCall was a step up but again not a very high grade hwt.

Any hwt who can punch can KO any man if the punch is thrown and caught perfectly. ATG fighters usually are hard to KO with one punch for numerous reason......required toughness to be an ATG and the ability to roll with heavy shots taking their edge off, cleverness.

Theyre big, strong heavyweights- they land clean with loaded right hands, they're capable of putting away a lot of people.

We're not dealing with Cruiserweights training for 15 round fights like most of the heavyweight division's fighters through history. Workrate and endurance were sacrificed in the drop down to 12 rounds and increasing chemical supplement knowledge, but size, strength, and power weren't.

Also, Rahman tends to really get sold short these days. He really did accomplish a lot for how late he came to the sport and his defensive flaws, and did it against a very good level of competition.

Rahman was a low grade hwt. Wide open target.
