Which among these fighters do you consider an ATG? Toney, Tszyu, Wright and Calzaghe

Drug testing started in 2001 and didnt become the norm until 2002

 

James Toney is the only one in my opinion. I rank them:

1.Toney


2.Winky
3.Calzaghe


4.Tszyu

 

Toney. 4 weight champion

Nunn, MacCallum, Barkley, Jirov, Holyfield, and Ruiz.

Nuff said.

 

Tszyu had the superior amateur career but out of all 4 in the pro ranks i would have it..

Toney is a 3 weight champion, he was stripped after the Ruiz fight for testing positive for roids

 

Tszyu and Calzaghe are slam dunk first ballot HOFers. I consider them ATG as well. They would at least be competitive with anyone in boxing history who would be considered the best at either 140 for Tszyu or 168 for Calzaghe.

I would rank them as follows:

1. Tszyu
2. Calzaghe
3. Toney
4. Wright

 

zoo is dead last in this group. There can be no case made for having zoo ranked first other than being an extreme nuthugger. Learn the sport or log off. Toney calzaghe and Wright are the all time greats here.

I vote none, but could see a case for Toney. Winky is a real stretch and Tsyzu and Calzaghe are not even close.

 

Winky is arguably the best ever at 154 and if not he is a shoe in for everyone's top 5. How can you be a top 5 ATG in a weight class yet not be considered an ATG.....

And yeah 154 is newer than the other divisions but its still about 30 years old. So you are talking about someone who was in the top 3 or 5 minimum of that weight class in 30 years.
