Are you the type who is better at making a pre-fight analysis and making accurate predictions? Or are you more knowledgeable when it comes to history, facts, etc? Curious, as there are a lot of people who post here who really seem to know there stuff. That said, if you are the type who is good at making accurate predictions, you might want to check out Rummy's Challenge--it is a sticky thread near the top in the lounge. Test your luck, and make your pick for Mosley-Margo. :good
Mkaing pre-fight predictions is anyone's guess, no matter how knowledgeable. That's why you can bet on fights; if it was predictable, the bookies would go broke and not put up any odds.
Of course, it is impossible to predict 100% of all outcomes, but surely you would agree that some are better at predicting fights than others, and that others still, have a real knack for making accurate predictions in big fights.
Not sure about this actually. Most experts picked Oscar. Experts almost exclusively picked Mijares. Guys who hadn't seen Vic fight picked him, and were right. I would say I do okay with fight picks, but I got both of these wrong, wrong, wrong and I had seen plenty of all four men. Booooooooo!
I'm usually pretty good at predictions, but I had such a bad year in 2008 that I woke up one morning and thought I was Teddy Atlas!
Will have a look, as C P says in some ways its easy to make an eduacated guess etc but a win or upset is only a punch away. My last few predictions on big fights were quite close, i might of mentioned them here. I took Pac on points with "too fast and too much workrate" ( posted in lounge i think ) Knowledge wise, i read a lot and watch a lot, well used to but memory is messy, and i cant be arsed posting predictions or opinions much as it usually always leads to arguments etc.tit for tat **** and ma typing etc dont make much sense to some "type how i talk" mode. I just stick to reading all you's, a lot easier. :deal Cheers :good
Then this contest was MADE for you. After all, I myself am often compared to Teddy Atlas, and after losing a god-awful bet I made on the Hatton-Malignaggi bout, I even sported an avatar that pictured both me and the aforementioned Atlas for several weeks. Give it a go! :cheers
