I can forgive the Lewis losses because he was winning both fights and got caught. It happens, especially at heavyweight. I can also look past any losses by an ATG who is clearly way past their best because it happens to everybody in boxing eventually. So Ali-Berbick and those kinds of fights are forgiven. It's when an ATG is in their prime, hyped up, and going against a completely overmatched opponent who then beats the hell out of them that gets my vote. Tyson-Douglas is the first fight that comes to mind. But to Tyson's credit he hung in there for a long time and even got a knockdown of his own. I would say Wlad-Sanders takes the cake. If you didn't know any better watching that fight Sanders looked like the favorite and Wlad looked like the overmatched guy thrown in for a showcase fight. You watch that and you think "this kid has no talent and no future in the sport."
I now he was out of his prime and may of had Parkinson’s by then but Ali’s loss to Spinks was pretty bad since Spinks had something like 14 fights at the time.
Joe Louis vs Max Schmeling 1 Lennox Lewis vs Rahman/McCall W.Klitschko vs Brewster/Sanders/Purrity Mike Tyson vs Buster Douglas George Foreman vs Tommy Morrison Muhammad Ali vs Leon Spinks 1 Floyd Patterson vs Sonny Liston 1 and 2 Sonny Liston vs Muhammad Ali 2 Jack Dempsey vs Fireman Jim Flynn Jack Johnson vs Klondike Haynes/Bob Lawson/Bill Hartwell Evander Holyfield vs John Ruiz 2 Some of these picks maybe controversial, but i'm basing it on how they lost aswell. For example Liston losing to Ali in the 1st round.
