The brain damage came from his whole career.

Ever watch his fights with Norris and Espana? The Chavez rematch?

Taylor's is a sad story, almost handed the first L to Chavez, only had a couple more years at the top of the sport, but he did some pretty bad things afterwards that makes it hard to feel sorry for him.

There's other fighters I'd feel more sorry for. Duk Koo Kim or Kid Akeem Anifowoshe.

At least after the first Chavez fight, Taylor had some success, and some title fights and pretty good paydays.

    It's over your head dude.
If you seriously think I am angry or upset, you're very naive.
hagman or whatever his name is, is known for being a very inept, very young poster.

I feel bad for (JM) Marquez. I'm not equating any of his present troubles to some of the very tragic aftermaths that have taken place in the retirement of many of the already stated boxers, don't get me wrong... But after getting cheated out of several decisions, including one that would have categorized him as best fighter in the world, and being sidelined and disrespected to the point that when he challenges one of the best in boxing, negotiations are so ****-poor out of his favor that he fights an already supremely advantaged opponent at a weight over the already pushing-it limit with meager compensation, and then tries to be used as a stepping stone for younger fighters, I look at this man and shake my head at what could have been had he been recognized as the fighter he is and given what was deserved. And all the while, nobody bothered to try and make him the attraction he knew his career needed him to be, when he had the heart and stylistic potential to create exciting fights throughout his career. Excuse the rant, but the guy is a warrior deserving of much respect and consideration.

If you don't like being quoted and have a different opinion shared you shouldn't post.

    No hard feelings though...:good

I have bet against him every time except hatton.

I also pick floyd to beat him by decision.

Not once do I kiss any boxer's ass. let alone your straw men.

It's hard to convey my opinions without coming off like an argumentative dick, but it's so ******ed to listen to a kid chime in with his "i don't like this poll" comments, when he can just say "i think this guy has the biggest sob story"

    Oh okay, you do? fine
That is perfectly cool with me. Just don't cry a river when I don't include your personal pick. Just ****ing list him. Jesus.

Louis on this pole because he was a truly kind individual. Next would be taylor and I would throw Gerald Mcclennon in there.

I think we have misunderstood each other actually.....

I thought your list was very good, you included some of the best picks in the sport for this topic.

You actually included my pick, which was Louis. My second would have to be Ali, then maybe Taylor.

I can see why you put Hagler on the list, It is a totally different way to feel a fighters pain, which your list actually covers many areas.

I was not trying to criticize your list, I was just expressing my opinion that Ali and Louis had it worse than Hagler....

No hard feelings bro.... I think this is a good thread.:good
