Which Boxer had the greatest potential ever?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by WelcomePaladin2, Oct 17, 2015.

  1. But never really fulfilled it?

Ike?, Tyson?, Roy Jones Jr (fell away early 2000s), Naseem?

    Thoughts?

Naseem. Roy and Tyson fulfilled their potential tbh. Naz lost the heart way too early and just didn't care any more.

Roy Jones Jr never had great technique. He used his supreme physical gifts to get away with alot. The fact that he fell off so bad was expected.

i think many fighters should have stayed at there prime weights and become legends instead of moving up ala hagler

mosely was a beast at 140
pryor should have stayed off the drugs
stevonson turning pro would have added spice
khasoi galaxys fights being televisied prime time , he was an enourmous ko artist super fly
    spinks staying a light heavy
    holyfield a cruiser
    etc etc
not a fan of all this weight hopping

This. Tyson and Roy seemed invincible in their primes and fullfilled their potential. They just didn't have any other ATGs to beat. Naseem however never gave it his best and lost his will to box after running into Barrera.

Hector Macho Camacho, the speed and footwork, but alas the drug use and still look what he did solely on natural ability.
