Definitely Naz as far as distance between potential and actual achievement. If he had a professional attitude and listened a bit more he could have been at ATG. I've never seen anyone who hit the way he did and at such ridiculous angles.

Floyd Mayweather until he started fighting scared and avoiding people in fear of losing.

I guess glass hands and confidence issues can do that to a fighter.

From a business perspective he made all the right moves I guess...made a boat load of cash and held onto his 0...but these aren't the things fans care about and he could have made his legacy much better.

Still in the top 3 defensive fighters of all time...

Pacquaio wasted alot of precious fights thanks to none other than Bob Arum. Rios & Algieri? gotta be kidding me.

I think i've missed the mark with this thread and just ending venting my frustration in the end careers of Floyd & Pac...I guess most fighters don't exactly have a gracious end to their careers anyway.

I agree. He had a terrible boxing IQ. MAB made him look amateurish, which he was.

I actually think Mayweather did the right thing given his condition. He barely got by Chino, who despite it all came into the ring to kick Floyd's ass. Had he picked different fights he would have lost, and that is unacceptable for a man that built his ppv career on wanting people to see him lose.

As for Pac... don't blame arum, blame religion. He lost his fire when he started quoting the bible. It is a fun book. One of my favorite collection of myths and legends. But it shouldn't dominate your life.

Guys like Duran, Pacquiao, Leonard. Iron chins, with speed, power and amazing athleticism.

Mayweather is too brittle. Roy Jones too weak chinned.

RJJ IMO greatest pure athlete to ever grace a boxing ring. But relied too much on physical gifts when they started to fade he started to lose.

Tony Ayala Jr. had a lot of potential but he was a psychopath. The Kronk boys around his weight class talked about what a beast he was and wanted no parts of him. There was talk about him fighting Duran before he got sent up.

Salvador Sanchez because he passed away so young.

Bowe wasted his talent shamelessly. Didn't find anyone outside of Holyfield during a rich decade of the division.
