I admire certain champions and fighters, enjoyed watching them, I met a few but I like being myself, not someone else.

    Greb or Marciano
Both living at a time where boxing was super popular

Greb for a live fast die young type of life
Marciano for a more balanced life, and for the feat of being undefeated

Roberto Duran. I wouldn’t blow up in weight between fights and I would rule the world

Given my user name it should be Oscar de la Hoya. Or Tyrone Everett.

I'll settle for being Gary Stretch. Tall dark and handsome with a movie career - in Dead Man's Shoes - after he got out with his money, health and reputation intact. Not a bad actor either.

Reckon he might have got a bit of bumper back in the day as well, if he'd played his cards right.

    Max Schmeling.

I would pick that life over any other.

Lived to 100, as near as makes no difference, in good physical and mental health.

    Hero of the holocaust.

One of the most successful fighters in history, from a financial standpoint.

Just to top it all off, he was the lineal champion, and he beat Joe Louis!

I love boxing but i would never want to be a boxer, i went to a boxing gym once. just to experience it because of my love for boxing, and i enjoyed the training aspect of it, because i'm into fitness in general i go to the gym regularly.

But once i tried sparring few times, i didn't enjoy being hit. And it's not something i could do day in day out getting hit for a living.

You have to have certain mentality to be a boxer, and it wasn't for me which is why i admire great fighters. Who punish themselves and get hit day in day out.
