Do you think that applies to Ali? When his speed/reflexes diminished, he relied on taking a beating ... while he was pretty effective at blocking some punches, a lot got through and it was often his iron chin and sheer stubbornness that kept him going. I wonder if he'd stayed with Archie Moore a bit longer and learned the Old Mongoose's strategies of being elusive and rolling with shots - I think he took some lessons from him, but not enough.

Archie had many, many more fights than Muhammad and finished his life with his senses quite intact -

Roy Jones Jr. was incredible in his prime.

Another boxer worth mentioning is Miguel Lora. Very quick cat-like reflexes reminiscent to Benitez.

The answer is Jones, followed by Locche and probably then Pep. The thing that Jones had over the other two was aside from being able to do crazy **** when under fire, he also had crazy reflexes when it come to his offence. If a new opening came up, Jones was scoring a knockdown. Can't say the same about the other two, and that's not just because of their lack of power.

    Whitaker was another.
