Which boxer in history would have had the best chance of KOing Fury?

Yeah but he was 40, look at his fight vs Jennings earlier that year. He wasn't terrible but wasn't close to his best. It's like giving Spinks full credit for the Ali win, except Wlad was 3 years older

 

I think its revionism. Fury deserves full credit for beating Wlad bu ud in Germany.
It was boring as hell but its a great win.
Also arguably the greatest comeback in boxing.

Not giving wlad and if he doesnt fight the Usyk vs AJ winner is something I will hold against him though

 

Wlad is the only fighter in the world people give credit to his opponents for beating at 40, because they don't want to admit he had a top 3 all time HW career

 

Probably someone who can deliver a prolonged beating over several rounds. Someone like Vitali Klitschko who can land an accumulation of punches over 10 rounds. One punchers like Wilder aren’t going to get it done it seems.

My boss is a casual and is convinced noone in history could knock out fury....I'm not convinced of that...think it'll take a pretty big puncher with good killer instincts...his recovery powers are immense but ...unknockoutable....no

 

Lewis probably, maybe Foreman.

 

Louis
Louis fought big men with much more power than Fury. They were slower & less skilled yes, but the point is that size wouldn't be a factor. If Fury tries to smother Louis, he would be like a lamb running to slaughter, as Louis was a tremendous inside fighter & would ripped Furys body apart.

Tyson
Mike will have Fury running all night - clinching, holding & hugging all the way. I don't think Mike knocks him out (unless Fury foolishly decides to fight offensively) due to his spoiling tactics, awkwardness & survival tactics - but he wins a wide UD. It will look very similar to the Bonecrusher & Tucker fights.

Lewis
Lewis has the size, reach, skillset & power to KO Fury. He has the best chance of scoring a KO. Fury's best bet is to box & keep it distance. Lewis can win in two ways, Fury only one. But you have to ask when has Lewis ever been outboxed?​

 

The height "difference" is greatly overstated, Fury is a solid 6'6 1/2 or barely 6'7.

Hell, on Saturday he was about the same height as Francis Ngannou standing next to him and he's listed as 6'4 (which means he's probably taller then stated around 6'5).

The height difference between Lennox and Fury is 2 at most.

 

I like Vitaly's chances of Ko'ing Fury. In history tho? Im sure guys like Foreman, Bowe ect would have had good shots as well.

I don't think FUry is 6 foot 9, but he isn't far off it.

 

I do think everyones height is a tiny bit boosted, mostly for the "Titan Heavyweights!!!!" marketing. He is still a VERY large man no doubt but there are multiple photos of him with 6'6 men and he's very very close, the "6'9 giant" is a great marketing tool.
