In the cheap seats is also a brilliant read, GOW is his best for me, but Murderers Row make three great books.

Smokestack Lightening about Harry Greb, enjoyable but hard subject due to no available footage, he's an excellent writer and I did exchange emails with him.

Sanchez the what if fighter, died way too young brilliant technical fighter, Mexican without the need to be too macho. Would of loved to see him and Nelson go again later he was a novice at that level., guy that went onto a great career and his defeat by Sanchez shows that a defeat actually became a great advert for him.[/QUOTE]

I will, haven’t seen that one, Harold used to wear bits of metal at the weigh in to push his lbs up he’s not really a LHW so fighting Jones will be a fun watch seeing as he was a 180-190lbs very solid fighter.

Watch Roberto Duran's performance against Carlos Palomino-1979. A master class in feinting technique!!

Duran was the best I saw in my lifetime. Of course Jack Johnson had the reputation as being a great feinter.

While you’re here, I just want to say your video packages are top shelf - brilliant in fact. They are extremely well appreciated. Thank you.

Boxer Phil Scott was a master of the faint. Yes, I’ve cracked this awful joke before and it didn’t get much response - so I’m not expecting much, if any, now. It’s simply a compulsion I cannot control.

Do you think Aaron Pryor and/or Panama Lewis were practicing some witchery or warlocky with that specially mixed bottle The Hawk ingested during the Arguello fight?

Magic shouldn’t be allowed in boxing but how exactly do you police it? It has been an age old problem without any hard and fast remedies.

I mean, collectively and based on Ali’s lead, the people of Zaire cast several evil spells on Foreman - even invoking a succubus to drain George of his vitality.

I think Dick Sadler was also in on it, jumping over to The Dark Side before the fight…feeding George deadly potions thinly dressed up as water.

That’s simply was not fair - and those spells and potions, in some measure, still hung over George for the remainder of his first career.

Just as well George eventually found God to break the evil incantations, potions and spells cast upon him.

After his own 10 year spell, Foreman was fully cleansed of all the evil.

Gans and Corbett come to mind, feinting was such a core element of their game and they also had the speed to feint in many different ways excessively. Usyk’s another great examples

Thanks for the insights, i appreciate it. The Greb book is the one i am least interested in. I'm keen to get Murders Row next.

A rematch with Nelson would have been box office. Nelson with more experience, better pacing, a lot more maturity. Sanchez knowing exactly how dangerous Nelson was the first time. It's a mouth watering rematch. If Nelson come along a couple of years earlier he would have been a fantastic match with Pedroza too. I'm a big Nelson fan, and i respect the hell out of both Sanchez and Pedroza. To have Nelson push thru just as those two were in their final stages was very satisfying.

Definitely should, mate. It's a fascinating era and full of so many wild characters. It really puts into perspective how great the fighters who rose above the BMR label were too, like Moore, Robi & Charles.
