    In their earlier careers when facing below average opposition, who was the most dominating boxer. I'm more interested in your opinions on current or recent fighters more than the legends of years past but post if you like.

    I recently was a young Joe, I think in his 7th or 8th match, pulverize some stiff who endured about 1000 slaps before Joe finished him with a left uppercut.

    Tyson definitely.

    That was the attraction on his way to the HW title, it wasn't that he was beating great opponents, it was that he was destroying guys in double-quick time, on a double-quick schedule.

    Joe Louis did the infamous bum of the month tour, but Holmes, Tyson, Morrison & Bowe all had their questionable opponents. I venture to say most boxers have had a period or two where they didn't have to fight up to their true abilities.
