Usually on ESB a fighter is considered shot if he loses a fight. Considering that there are a number of upcoming significant matches scheduled which are the next best likely "shot" boxers?

I hate saying this as he's a great fighter, but Ivan Calderon hasn't looked up to much in his past couple of fights. I know there's been issues with cuts but even before they occurred in both fights he didn't look as fluid as he normally is. I reckon Mayol beats him in the rematch, although I'll be rooting for Calderon.

Vitali im sure others will argue that but im pretty sure his next fight will show that he is in fact shot.

Marquez, Mosley, & Hopklins... all these guys were still fighting at a high level last time we saw them, bit if you've been around long enough you know that a once a fighter gets old he has a few years of good fighting until they eventually hit the wall and their abilities start to descend rapidly. Given their age all those three are very possibly close to hitting that wall sometime soon.

i can't disagree. his win against gomez was impressive and all but it's like if ali went the distance with bob foster...even if he wins every round he shouldn't see the final bell. Vitali should have blown him away

Not a very good question to ask during these hard times.
