Who were the best of all time in this regard? Staying out, never brawling but stick and move with a reach advantage.

Wladimir Klitschko is a good recent example, but who else from back in the day was great at this?

SNV utilised his 7'2 height & 88" reach to it's maximum godly potential, to keep those little guys (everyone in comparison to him) under control on the end of his thunderous ramrod jab.

boxed ears is proud of you:good

from what i heard fred fulton did this reasonably well

also, tommy hearns from 147-160 had massive height advantage on many opponents and used it well

honourable mentions to ali (against frazier as an example) and lennox lewis

Tommy Hearns was almost impossible to outbox from range.

Cocoa Kid deserves a shout. Very good at distance with a lot of leverage.

Yep, i have. People need to learn more about Cocoa Kid and just how revolutionary he was back in those days. He was a very good fighter in a couple of fights a month era and he also threw more than an occasional fight for the money and because he was that good at 147/154! He always seems to get left out of Puerto Rican great fighters lists.

People also forget he laid the blue print on how to beat Mexican heart and determination, come forward styles. He stayed tall throughout and use to get that elevation on the mound.

No one ever utilized their height and reach advantages any better than Monzon.
