I heard he quit boxing to become a mechanic. The lifestyle wasn’t for him. But this is the first I’ve ever heard that it was because of drugs.

While not an all time great Sean O'Grady's father was horrible , he put Sean in with Danny Little Red Lopez when Sean was 17 years old,,,and he was predictably blown away.

Same with Povetkin, who spent some of his physical prime with Atlas and in my view regressed under him.

There was a picture of him floating around as a mechanic. Dude looked chubby and happy, and honestly, I always liked his surprise ending. He had some good wins, made some money and walked away at the right time. Of course he had potential to do way more, but at least he went out without taking any punishment.

I think the issue was more Buster himself than his trainer. He didn't love boxing. He had a ton of natural talent for it, but he didn't love it. And once he signed a retirement money fight against Holyfield, he was just done. Didn't care what happened in the ring that night, just showed up to get his retirement check. The knockdown was legitimate, but rather than get up, he thought "**** it, purse earned" and stayed down.

Whilst not great Yarde could have been so much better without Tunde who is simply terrible.
