Yes they have, but like with many of these fighters they have not made the movie.

"The Great White Hope" right? With James Earl Jones? I like that movie. However, I think that with todays camera technology they could make one to rival the original. Don't know who they could get to play Johnson though...

Michael Dokes, so much drama and tragedy in 50 years.

Don't forget the Hayematrix, either :hey

And a movie of Super Southpaw Sanders would surely be a hit.

Alexis Arguello has an interesting story with his involvement in the war in Nicaragua and problems he's had since then.

Somebody not mentioned is Carlos Monzon. Stanley Ketchel would be a good one too.

Yeah, with Treat Williams as Dempsey. It's kind of funny that the guy most known for "Hair" gets to play Dempsey, but he's alright in the role. Especially the physical resemblancee is quite ok.

Jack Johnson and Sonny Liston (as so many others have mentioned) of course, but Joe Gans is another that comes to mind. Henry Armstrong's career and life seems like made for the movies, with his comet like rise and sad downfall. Has there ever been a movie about SRR? It would've been strange otherwise, but I haven't heard of any. His dark character seems like made for a movie, but maybe the audience wouldn't pay to see alternating clips of him pummeling his opponents and then his wife.

    Buck Smith.

I think at one time there was some interest in making a movie based on the guy. It wasn't going to be a big production type from the studio's but more of an independant type. But Smith was an interesting guy and an interesting story.

    Aaron Pryor.

Abusive parents, drug addictions, struggle towards success, controversies etc.

Perhaps John L. Sullivan? From all the accounts I've heard, he had a pretty interesting life. Unless there's already been one?
