Bobby Chacon and Matthew Saad would be two excellent candidates, although no movie could possibly do justice to the ups and downs they experienced both in life and their careers.

    Jerry Quarry.

Particularly the time away from boxing, the 1992 comeback, and living with dementia until his death.

Don Jordan welterweight champ, born in Dominican Republic, one of nineteen kids. According to 'In This Corner" by Peter Heller, was a child assassin who killed people by blowpipe. He arrived in America at about 14 and was locked up for trying to burn someone. Started boxing in reform school and the rest is history. Was tied to the Mob throughout his career.

Yes, its got to be Jerry Quarry .....If you could fit it in ! the Roller Coster Highs and lows of his Exploits inside the Ring are facinating enough, but outside the Ring, Family story is also a hell of a roller Coaster, Strick Father Jacks Influance, Marrige to a real beauty (Charlie ? ) Divorce, Brother Mike, - the quarry's against the world, the Comeback's, and the Final sad Fight anginst a guy who wouldnt of even been a decent sparring partner in his prime (Ron Cramer) - then the Sad Ending Ala the Champ Movie... A sort Of Fistic
"Brian's Song" type of Movie perhaps, Toughness Hope Joy Sadness ans Sorrow, .. Jerry's Story has the lot.

Max Baer. So we could get a fair portrayal that would wash away the bad taste from Cinderella Man.

I agree. Working title: That Badass Mother****er.

    Rocky Marciano.

I know about that made-for-tv movie, but it sucked.

Iron Mike would probably sell the most as everybody wants to know what made him so crazy and so strong and what really happened behind the scenes in the late 80's and the don kings stuff etc. I thought there was a film in the works where Jamie Foxx plays Mike Tyson scheduled for 09?

Al "Bummy" Davis' boxing career, life and untimely death would make for an excellent film. Especially if adapted from the excellent Ron Ross book based on his life.

Ketchel is another one whose life and times present a ton of material for a movie. Unfortunately, the time period may work against it's popularity with today's movie goers.

Is there one coming out about Micky Ward? Are there any other boxing films coming out soon?

    Duran would be good
