you would think. but every review i have heard about it has said it's actually well done. I got a little pissed when I heard he was making it but it's sounded good so far. I haven't been able to find a copy but i might check Netflix for it soon.
Edwin Valero, tragic movie but you can't deny there would be a lot of twists and turns, the abuse of his wife. The motorcycle accident, his personality change, never mind the 27 ko in 27 bouts, and the ending? Need I say more...
Gatti would make a great film. So would Arguelllo. The Perterson Bothers, The Rios and Ortiz issue, Pac vs Floyd negotiations bull**** would all make for a great and interesting DOCUMENTARY.
4.3 on IMDB, pretty low, the movie critics were pretty harsh on it as well. Damn Uwe Boll! Had to ruin such a good story, maybe someone else will pick up on it but now doubtfully.
Joe and Max is decent. Made for tv movie. Stars that crazy german who fought the nazis in inglorious *******s as Max.
Oscar would be nuts if they added all the negative parts.. like his drug problem and his cross dressing, haha. I've always thought a Roy Jones movie was just a mater of time.. between his father training him.. getting robbed in the Olympics.. beating Bhop and James Toney.. being caught with the Ripped Fuel crap.. Most importantly.. he is American... if we are talking about movies that MAY actually get made.
Hopkins obviously, Hagler is another good one but a real great one would be Ann Wolfe surprised nobody mentioned her.
Barney Ross would be amazing but possibly sadder than 1,000,000 dollar baby. Can't believe Bobby Chacon hasn't been mentioned. On one hand if Hollywood tried to sugar coat it could turn out maudline or corny but if they dealt with it respectfully but truthfully it would be up there with Raging Bull.
