What your previous posts tell me about you, is you use extreme examples to discuss and prove points.

No fighter would fight for nothing, no fighter would give all there money to charity, and no fighter would want to end up completely broke at the end of there career.

Also Boxers know that there careers are finished in there 30's so would also like to set them selves up and ther families up in the meantime.

However it is still possible to want the money but also want the legacy more.

Tou se your extreme example, would a fighter fight a fight that meant they would be the greatest of all time, but they would get no money for it.
I think what would stop people doing that is most people would want to be paid what they deserved so they would feel ripped off.

But let say in a hypothetical world a magical fight appeared where the boxer stood to earn no money in that fight. 9and they new they werent being ripped off, there just wasn't any money involved) But winning it would mean you were the greatest fighter of all time. Then yes alot of boxers would take that challenge.

Ahhhhhhhh, so that's what it says about me, because I used that extreme example AFTER you made that comment. Anyways, no big deal, btw, nice extreme example from u. :nutI thought about something like that too earlier (the hypothetical, magical, biggest fight).. Anyways, whatever, time to take a non extreme sleep..

Hopkins and Holyfield like money but seem desperate for legacy. They don't just fight everybody and clean out their division, they fight guys bigger than them, way younger than them, taller, faster, stronger guys. It makes no difference. It's a more impressive win when the odds are stacked against them that way.

Any one who says floyd doesn't fight for legacy is stupid. Apart from the pac fight floyd has fought the jmw champion cotto, the two WW champs mosley and ortiz. Like it or not he has fought the lineal WW champ Baldomir, when people said he was ducking him. He has fought the jmw champ dela hoya. He has fought the lightweight champ castillo, Super featherweight corrales, junior WW champ hatton.

and at 35 years plus he still ain't done yet.

For some crazy reason people like to pretend floyd has been fighting cab drivers all these years, like they said roy jones use to do. In reality you people are full of ****.

Yes perfect examples. Holyfield and Hopkins care more about creating a legacy than nearly anyone of the last 20 years. You can add to that Mike Tyson and James Toney from the last 20 years too

The guys that think legacy is more important than money are the ones that don't have the chance of making it.

Holyfield is fighting to keep the debt collectors from his door, not for legacy.

I know you are incapable of discussing boxing without mentioning your lover. But they Don't call him Money for nothing.

Lets just agree to disagree on this one bummer. There's a sticky with your name on it at the top of the forum. I suggest you head back in there to argue with Puga

    read the thread title.

Floyd cares about Money more than Legacy, not the other way round. I'm sure he cares about his legacy too, but there's no question what's more important to him. He must have been quoted saying this hundreds of times.

I don't get why one of his biggest fans is arguing this.

    Its obvious to everyone.

Floyd Mayweather Junior has the most carefully managed career of any Boxer I can think of. It has always been about money for Floyd.
