yes,ok slayer, ofcourse its not, completely differant kind of punching,im so sorry:roll:i know **** all do you lot watch grass roots mma,or only the big time stuff, cos that is shite, ive seen better fighting in burnley town center:deal
Whichever one is willing to put in a minimum two years learning jiujitsu basics and at least one year learning how to check leg kicks in a muay thai class. That's the boxer that will be successful at MMA.
Boxers will be successful at MMA when they train to be a true MMA fighter. Maybe someone coming out of the olympic games or something where they are still young enough to really pick this stuff up.
Agree with where you are coming from here but an elite boxer is usually a good learner too and wouldn't take that long. He'd be checking leg kicks fairly effectively in a few months max. I agree rolling would be a new world to most. But Vic Darchinyan for instance has wrestled. So the ground game will come fairly quickly to him.
Having wrestling experience is definitely an advantage but he will still take some time to get used to submissions. Most wrestlers would just need a year to learn submission defense to supplement their wrestling then.
Rijker vs Cyborg Santos would have been an interesting fight. I don't know if they're in the same weight classes though.
any boxer with any kind of decent power it doesnt even have to be a lot just average power will kill any mma fighter with those small as gloves.... :hat
I was keen to talk up Vic Darchinyan's chances in MMA some more until yesterday. What a terrible performance he put up.
