Roy Jones for sure he can be hit cleanly now, so I think its wise he hang em up before he ends up like Ali
trinidad. he has no chance against most of the people he could possibly fight next and he's too great and beloved to keep fighting. both him and RJJ have nothing left to prove and can not possibly enhance their legacies by continuing to fight.
Zsolt Erdei! He is a very likeable human being who always has a smile on his face. Nevertheless, I wont stand watching another of his lame title defences against unheralded club fighters whose names cant be even spelled by true box aficionados. Yesterday's fight with the totally unknown Abron from the USA carried off the prize. Erdei vs Abron was a true pain to my eyes. I should have taped that fight in order to save my money for a package of sleeping pills. Makes me sick to watch such a talented and likeable champ putting up such horrible shows of boxing against bums who have been carefully selected by his gutless management. Erdei should take early retirement as soon as possible. His heart isnt in the game anymore!
Oscar might have some more gas in the tank. One year before Floyd he looked great against Mayorga. I think people are watching to see how he does against Floyd this time around. Anyone looks bad against Floyd and DLH looked better than most. Anyway, I'm watching Oscar on this one too. He should retire after this year though. I pick Tito, Hopkins, Barrera and Morales, and Floyd (because I think he's already mentally retired). I'm on the fence about Mosley.
Brewster (if he isn't already retired), Tua, Mormeck, Virgil Hill (not officially retired yet, I think, but has been outpointed in 3 of his last 4 and is approaching 45 yrs), Mayorga could get brain damage if he keeps on fighting for too long, Golota should also hang 'em, and so does Martin Castillo (badly outgunned in his last outing and 31 is a little old for the small men)
WHy Oscar?? Last time i checked his performance in the PBF was one hell of a performance. He made PBF work for that win. Getting a SD with PBF is pretty good. Not to mention if he was fighting someone not so cautios he always has that power to KO them.
Oscar's big weakness is his part time hobby of being an empressario of a multimillion dollar company. I think he's okay in the sport so long as he can give boxing his 100 percent attention. Maybe he'll do good this year as he is fighting three times but what about next year? How long can he stay away from his promotional duty. I think Oscar's okay for the moment but eventually he'll have to be in an office all day making fights happen for other boxers.
Tito, Hoya, Wright, Holyfield, Hopkins, Jones and Calzaghe after there fight that I wish would be a draw, Tua, Briggs, Ruiz, Mayweather after Cotto, and Forrest because I don't think he will ever get a big fight, and the man I hate Tarver
Good one Holyfield is a obvious answer so I wont comment. Campas man hes been around a long time and alot of his fights go on for a long period and hes taking alot of punishment even in the wins plus he fights alot hes a fairly active fighter. Its time to end it before its too late hes a tough guy and acheived more then most boxers do I dont wanna see him get hurt. This is a guy whos most memorable fight was in 94 vs Tito thats 14 years ago that was probablly his prime and hes not a good defensive fighter. Echols in another good one his last fight he took a beating and the first thing even a person whos never watched boxing could tell watching Echols is are that his legs are shot and shot badly. Ill take my legs over anything else in boxing without strong legs your footwork and coordination is ****. Look at Morales his legs went and he started getting battered and battered badly agianst a guy he clearly beat once.
