I thought this was about froch, eubank, calzaghe and Collins. if it was about best brit chin ever then clearly I would have written a different post. It would seem obvious to me rereading my post that I was making rankking a preselected bunch, how did you miss that? or why did you miss it? youwanted to write " go educate yourself"?
sure, that's true, though people were ranking those four for pages since. I should have gone straight to the source and just ranked the best chins ever - burt I do think its obvious that I am not claiming four recent fighters in just one weight division have the best brit chins ever - I really thought that much was obvious. why would I pick them from just (arguably) one decade and just one weight division. I was merely ranking the ones others had done, sorry I digressed from the topic in hand.
Henry Wharton had a hell of a chin. Limited, but the likes of Benn bounced everything but the kitchen sink off him and he barely blinked.
I was just get a tad annoyed that people always overlook the two Brit fighters with probably the best chins or most proven against huge punchers. It's always the same names. Eubank's was proven without a doubt but he's been hurt and hit canvas. Froch's chin is overrated, Groves had him hurt real bad and Taylor put him down. Jim Watt is another Brit/Scot with a great chin that never gets mentioned, he had a head of concrete and went 15 rounds with Alexis Arguello who had dynamite in his fists. I don't think he ever went down and he fought some cracking fighters. My vote goes to Benny Lynch.
thanks. the alkie scotza seems like a tough cookie for sure. I apologise for being extremely unclear and misleading, I can assure you I wasn't being dumb enough to pick all the best brit chines from the smw division. I'm dumb ...but not that dumb!
not quite so dumb as to try and reply to someone who has you on ignore, however. greetings conoveli, whatever you posted.
Haye would be in this list. He was only knocked out once and that was when he was still a youngster, career-wise.
