    Haye took a big risk in terms of putting his rep on the line with all the prefight talk, one which would backfire horribly if he didn't get the KO which happened and was and is now paying for it, (although his bank balance will be some form of comfort lol)

    Froch went over to Sauerland's House of Jobs, Robberies and ***gotry and took on Abraham, who many people at the time thought had massive power and could knock him out. Took huge balls, that.

    in terms of dangerous fights, Burns took on quite a hefty risk with the big puncher in Katsidis who was, as somebody already pointed out, the heavy favourite who lost a lot of people money.

    Again, thats what I'm looking for, I actually think they were big fights but not risky for carl..if he loses, then yeah, but he's one of the best SMW so that's who he should be fighting..and does, and all the best to him!

    Coming off a war to fight an animal like Rios? Risky IMO due to the damage you are going to take fighting guys like that, win or lose. People were worried about Murray before this fight, thats the risk of fighting Rios, nevermind coming off a brave defeat beforehand! I could say more, but I just wish the mancunian a speedy recovery, & wish him well(apart from if he fights Ricky)

    Who took the bigger risk, Groves of Degale? We knows he'S good but Degale has been properly ruined since. If Groves lost then I'd think sky would report it 3 days later.."oh, by the way, at the O2..."

    To me? Carl froch shouldnt even be mentioned in this thread. Why? Cos his whole career has been a risk, whats so different about 2011?:deal

    Oh yeah, he certainly ticks the box for risk in terms of physical damage, I just don't think it was that risky in terms of career progression because he didn't really have a great deal to lose.

    You're starting to sound like a bit of a Rios fan... ;) Say he could make 135... The Rickster vs Rios... talk me through it... :yep

    I agree, DeGale had a lot more to lose.

    I agree with Wallet over Murray, the Rios fight was a potential short cut to world class after losing at Euro level to Mitchell.

    On paper it doesn't look all that risky, but... Dean took the fight at less than 24 hour's notice after a less than impressive performance fighting just the week before. It was against his toughest opponent to date and he had his '0' to lose.

    You just reminded me why Haye shouldn't even be in the running - he might have done all the hype, publicity, best HW etc...

    but when he lost you realised that it wasn't his main aim. All the other fighters we have mentioned actually wanted, and needed to win. And better luck them.

    :rofl Well it would be in the top 5 Wallet....but Frank Haroche Horta has not lost it, he's undefeated since 2009 so if you dont do your homework on the man then more fool you...:lol:
