Which British fighter was you most impressed with who fought in May?

selby was a masterclass performance , we could have a real diamond of the future here in my opinion .

 

Good question and good names on the list.
I think this is difficult because a few have impressed me for different reasons.

I was so happy for Nick Blackwell, he seems like a really nice young man and keeps improving, the fact he has zero amateur experience, fought some really tough names very early on and is now British champion in a very solid weight division impresses me.

Throw in the fact Blackwell was the away fighter Saturday, fighting on a big Matchroom card and was the underdog.

I'm going Blackwell.

 

Joshi for me.
He didn't fight anyone impressive, but he beat them in incredibly impressive fashion.

Selby is winning the poll, but other as the commentators I wasn't very impressed with Lee at all. He did very good, but seriously nothing like they made it out to be.

Selby for me showed hes arrived on world stage , Brook showed he was miles above Kevin and defo top 3 at 147 , Was also pleased to see Burns show some grit and that he still has something to offer although it will need to be at 135lb

 

DeGale had the biggest win in that it was two guys who the casual may have heard off and Dirrell is a quality fighter. DeGale also had to go to Dirrell's country to win.

Selby's was the most impressive win.

Joshua's was the most devastating.

For me though, I was most impressed with McDonnell. Away from home (although, so was Kameda) against a good, and at times, underrated opponent. McDonnell was also an underdog in many people's eyes, unlike Degale. Kameda also had the advantages in speed, power and technique (McDonnell is a good, tidy boxer, but I think he still fights in an amateur style at times. Not as bad as earlier in his career, but you can still see it, at times).

Blackwell deserves an honourable mention.

 

gone Selby, I picked gradovich to win. Previously I put selbys dominant performances down to his opponents being ****, rather than him being good, so he's the one I'm most impressed by because I underrated him previously,

 

I said Degale originally because up until then he fought very mediocre opponents. Dirrell is a skilled fighter and winning it state side was pretty impressive

 

I voted for selby and didn't here the commentators but it was an exceptional performance.
