Fair enough. I think Jeff Thomas once mentioned how much money he could make by coming in as a late sub. It was a great amount but still not many journeymen have the talent to be able to carry on for so long. You see plenty who take too many big punches and are KO'ed too often.

Did he get half a mill for the Tyson fight?

If you include world champions...... Hatton might be a candidate if he earns much more money - in a strange sort of way.

i dont mean journeymen have no talent, but they turn up to lose, and some times take real bad beatings, whIch is way i said they would be better of finding a new job AFTER WHATS HAPPEND TO POOR HOWARD, and this thread is not disrespecting fighters, it about fighters who were limited but didnt let that stop them from makeing there mark and geting some paydays. Now you have proved ypou dont understand this thread so i will say it again i hope for the last time, GO AND POST ON ANOTHER THREAD *******

I would agree with the Hatton statement. He is a seriously wealthy and had litlle more actual boxing talent than the average British champion. Great fanbase, great matchmaking, great marketability and great use of what he had got in the ring.

I think quite a few people are missing the point of this thread.

It's not who is the most talentless fighter to make a living out of boxing or what talentless fighters made money out of boxing but who made the most money relative to their talent...

Hence in a strange way Hatton could be a candidate if it included world champions...

Buckley was always in the top 10 highest earners.

in terms of someone that was domestic level it would be a warren fighter. they get paid much more than others.

    Hatton.

basically a glorified club fighter, promoter....referrres...all of them gave a helping hand and they massively ripped off the Man City fanbase.

Billy Walker. Not talentless but made a huge amount of money relative to his talent.

I never said Hatton wasn't blessed with lots of talent, but for a good world champ/fringe P4P'er he has made a disproportionate amount of cash.

Compare his earnings to, say, JMM, and the ratio would be the opposite.
