there was more of them your rigth the best took on the best more of the time but there was need for them to test some of the newer guy, add fillers to shows, late min subs etc..

Certain journeymen come to do a good job. I am sure most do. Some come to do the rounds which makes us sit up and take notice when a prospect does stop the guy.

A prospect should learn how to stop a guy from running and how to win the fight. I know what you mean because little is worse than seeing a not very good prospect get a 40-36 over a guy who could have probably beaten him if he had at least bothered trying for more than 5 punches a round.


You definetly get journey men in MMA. Have a look at just about every Mike Bisping opponent or any of the opponents that faced British competition last weeken at 105 or whatever it was and we have a great journeyman in Taylor.

There have always been a lot of journeymen in boxing, its easy to look back with rose tinted specs on but even in boxings golden days the best didn't constantly fight the best. Theres always been a need for jounneymen.
