Appelby's still got an amatuer trainer I read .He needs a move .A trainer like Billy Nelson could probably turn Appelby's career right around , waste .

Yeah, I thought Fewkes would do well.

Jeff Thomas told me that he wouldn't get past 8 round level, seems he was right.

Likewise Appleby, losing to Lindsay isn't anything to be ashamed of but he had a really long layoff before beating a couple of bums and losing again to Laryea.

i thought richard williams was going to be a world beater when he turned pro. still had a reasonable career but did not go as far as i thought he would.

more recently BJ Saunders is not the pro i thought he'd be before he turned over, and although he has time to make good I just don't see it anymore.

Bomber fell short a few times, but his career was not really a let down, IMO. At least not like some previously mentioned on this thread.

Take it as a compliment. Amazing talent, best of the olympians imo easily. Tremendous amateur background, medalled in every tournament right?

So when I see de gale getting his shot I had hoped to see the same.

Basically I think having fought the best at amateur level should mean a fighter can get fast tracked like james has done.

Gavin is a solid solid Boxer.

But he shouldn't be wasting his time with these pointless irish belts, they mean nothing imho.

Should be looking for the british within the next 3 fights tops. If not then it's gonna be a long one.

I though Alex Arthur was going to have a great career but it just seems to have stagnated to nothing with lack of activity.

Bradley Pryce. He really seemed to turn his career around but got the success by beating Small and just went back into the old bad habits.

    Top ten, no doubt.

Unfortunately for Sibbo it could be argued he peaked as Champ in that fight.

Sibson was not really let down IMO, he was good/popular enough to get another two shots. But was just too small for Andries and was to far gone for Tate.

At his early 80s best, he could compare himself favourable with everyone at 160, with one Marvelous exception.
