HBO for me. Merchant and Lampley are great and irreplaceable. Kellerman is a ****** and he's the only argument i could make for Showtime.

    Vote!

I like Showtime better. They are actually interested in developing fighters and staging compelling fights. HBO is just a booking agent for Golden Boy Promotions.

HBO and it is not even close. Their production is much better than Showtime but it should be as their Boxing budget is over twice as large.

I will say that Showtime has stepped up their fight quality recently though.

I agree. Showtime has been growing on me recently and do a better job promoting the future of the sport.

Let's see, I alleged that Showtime is more interested in building fighters. You come back and say that Showtime shows up and coming fighters. Despite this, you claim that I'm all wrong. HBO is interested in names. They'll put on big names and Golden Boy fighters. They get the majority of the big fights because they haves such deep pockets. However, the more compelling fights are on Showtime. HBO used to be a whole lot better. They would showcase young talent and build fighters. They don't do that anymore. There are way too many mismatches and money fights on HBO. If you like glitz and glam, HBO is great. If you like to watch good young fighters, and compelling fights, Showtime is the way to go.

I'll go with Showtime. HBO has the bigger budget and you can tell by seeing the fighters they bring in, as well as things like the Countdown and 24/7 shows. However, I prefer the Showtime announcing team; they seem less biased than the HBO crew. Plus, Showtime shows the Ring Card Girls. :hey

From what I've seen, HBO is much better. THe only thing that lets them down is Kellerman. He's not fit to clean Larry Merchant's boots nevermind replace him!

HBO but Showtime is close. I think Showtime has the clearer HD pictures for some reason though. I also like Showtime because they seem to show fights that matter. HBO is too involved in the politics of boxing but their overall show content is obviously better than Showtime.

In general HBO has the great fighters and the better transmission but Showtime is more dinamic and growing every PPV.Let's not forget that Castillo vs Corrales I was on Showtime

Showtime gives fair coverage...and since they don't sign individual fighters or GBP to contracts, they don't have a "Showtime agenda."

I swear Lampley reads off a script, completely indifferent to what is actually happening in the ring.
