Eubank (despite being quite faded at the time, as people tend to forget that Calzaghe was a novice at the time)
Hopkins and Kessler were both a level above Taylor (who seems to have regressed since the Hopkins fights) and Pascal who seem to be roughly on the Brewer/Mitchel level.

Also the Reid victory for Froch is devalued because Reid was completely shot at the time.

  3. Why is Kessler a level above Taylor, what has Kessler done to prove that !! apart from having one of the most padded records I have ever seen , and Taylor beat B-hop x2 why doesn't that count:huh

"the frog" has 25 fights,24 in England and one in the US.And first time he has to defend his title he is behind on every scorecard, until Taylor ran out of gas in round11,and Carl KOéd him in round 12...

  5. Scorecards mean **** all if you get KTFO

    Kessler and Lacy.

Lacy just because of the dominance he showed, although I was never sold on his talents.

Hopkins would replace Lacy, but I don't think Joe won that fight.

I watched both of them fight and its my humble opinion that the Kessler Calzaghe fought was much better than the Taylor Froch fought.

  8. Why Lacy ?? Taylor beat Lacy

    Kessler and Hopkins for certain.

I'm sure the Robin Reid that turned up against Calzaghe would give Taylor or Pascal a tough nights work also.

    Kessler, Eubank, Hopkins.

And it remains to be seen if Froch can KO the iron-chinned Jeff Lacy before Lacy finds his jaw. If Taylor could floor Froch, then Lacy can certainly do it too. I think Lacy can KO Froch.

    What's your point?

Taylor had a close bout with Lacy and he was knocked down, all after Lacy had to have rotator cuff surgery. Calzaghe beat an undefeated version of Lacy from post to post.

Eubank win is vastly overrated. Eubank came out of retirement for that bout and was a shell of his former self.

I thin that is probably true - but Taylor DID look about as good as he has since the Hopkins fights, which is no small thing. I also think that if both retired tomorrow, Taylor has achieved more in the sport and there would be an argument as to who was the better man.
